The third day of ibomma Ravi’s custody hearing has concluded. According to police, Ravi is not cooperating at all during the investigation. Officers state that he is giving irrelevant and misleading answers to every question. When asked for his user ID and passwords, Ravi simply replies, “I don’t remember… I forgot.”
Police are now using ethical hackers to access hard disks and pen drives. Investigators have identified that the main servers are located in France and the Netherlands. Even when questioned about his bank account details, Ravi remains silent.
Authorities have sent emails to multiple banks requesting complete statements of Ravi’s accounts. Investigation also revealed that Ravi traveled to a different country every 20 days, claiming he went abroad purely out of personal interest. It has been found that the money earned through USBT was quickly spent by him on a regular basis.
Police are now digging deeper into piracy links connected to the countries Ravi visited.
Massive Digital Piracy Exposed
During the investigation, police confirmed that Ravi had pirated more than 21,000 movies. He admitted to setting up servers in three different countries to run the large-scale piracy operation.
The CCS (Cyber Crime Police) continues to investigate the case. Meanwhile, CID has also joined the probe, exploring Ravi’s role in connection with online betting app promotions.
On the other hand, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned Ravi on November 21. They discovered that his bank accounts showed ₹20 crore deposits, and he was receiving ₹15 lakh per month via cryptocurrency.
